COVID-19 Resident Hardship Program

Today, more than ever, VineBrook Homes is striving to live up to our missions of providing safe, functional and affordable homes to the markets in which we operate. We care deeply for our communities, residents, and neighborhoods and are committed to providing solutions that work for all of us, together, to keep people in their VineBrook Home.

If you are a resident who is experiencing financial hardships and believe you may be unable to pay your balance in full as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic, please let us know. We will work together to assist you.

In order to help us process requests from our community expeditiously, please only apply if you qualify according to the criteria and terms noted below. Submissions should include required documentation via upload provided. Multiple submissions from a single address may result in delays for your case.

COVID-19 Hardship Program Qualifications

Residents unable to pay their rent in full as a direct result of COVID-19 may be eligible for VineBrook Homes’ COVID-19 Hardship Program. To be eligible, residents must have experienced one or more of the following items, and be prepared to produce supporting documentation:

  • Job loss specifically related to COVID-19 on or after 3/10/2020
  • 30% or greater reduction in income specifically related to COVID-19
  • Loss of business revenue (applies to 1099 employees and business owners)
  • Participants will be required to still pay a portion of their rent to secure hardship assistance. Qualifying residents will need to include the proper documentation including one or all of the following items:

  • Unemployment documentation as of 3/10/2020
  • Proof of material reduction in hours (30% reduction or more) - for example, pay stubs February vs. March
  • Letter from employer or former employer specific to COVID-19
  • Finally, if accepted into the program all current lease holders will be required to sign an addendum to their current lease which covers the specfic terms of the hardship agreement.
